Planted, not just growing
A post oak grows slowly, roots deep, and gives shade to whoever needs it. That's the kind of church we want to be: steady in the Word, honest about our need for grace, and glad to make room at the table.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Psalm 1:3 , King James Version
